If you've spent half your life shopping in the back of the store, ordering 4XL Tall online, or settling for whatever the department-store big & tall section bothered to stock — this isn't that. We don't have a size chart. We have a tape measure, your numbers, and a Hoi An workshop that has been patterning around non-standard bodies for 20+ years.
The size charts at most retailers stop at XXL or 3XL because that's where their cut volume stops being economical, not where bodies stop. If you wear 4XL, 5XL, or 6XL, you've probably been making peace with shirts that are too long, jackets that don't button comfortably, and trousers with the wrong rise for years.
MTM brands like Indochino and Hockerty are an upgrade — they at least nominally adjust for your measurements — but their pattern adjustments stop being reliable past the standard range. The pattern was drafted for an average build; once you're far from that, the math breaks.
True bespoke fixes this — but it's $2,500–$4,000 and involves three in-person fittings most big and tall guys don't have time or geography for.
RemoteSuit is the third option: a real Hoi An atelier patterning around your specific measurements, online, with no size ceiling — from $109.
Standard charts derive jacket length from height. That breaks if your weight sits in your midsection — your torso may be longer or shorter than the chart predicts. We measure torso directly.
High-rise vs mid-rise vs low-rise matters more for big builds because of how the gut sits. We ask you, then cut to it. No "we picked a default."
Off-the-rack assumes drop-6 or drop-7 (chest minus waist). For larger builds the drop is often 0–4 — we cut chest and waist independently, no compromise.
No "Tall" stocked length that's an inch off. The sleeve is your sleeve. The inseam is your inseam.
A Nathan Tailors atelier rep in Hoi An reads your numbers before the workshop touches them. For non-standard builds this catches outlier proportions that a software-only adjustment would miss — the discipline that prevents most big & tall online disasters.
Our parent atelier in Hoi An has 20+ years of cutting around non-standard builds — 4XL, 5XL, 6XL, 6'6"+ frames are routine on the bench, not edge cases the pattern engine guesses at.
RemoteSuit is built around exactly this case. No size chart you have to fit into. Real human reviews every measurement before cutting. Operated by Nathan Tailors in Hoi An — 20+ years of patterning non-standard bodies.
Yes, comfortably. Send us your measurements via the measurement form and we'll confirm. Customers in this range are routine.
WhatsApp us first. The answer is almost always yes, but extreme-end builds occasionally need a true bespoke pattern from our parent atelier rather than our standard online MTM. We'll be honest about which path fits.
Two reasons. First, no size chart — your measurements are the pattern, not adjustments off a base that wasn't drafted for your build. Second, human review before cutting catches the outlier proportions that software-only MTM misses.
